OPP Film El Salvador, an Oben Holding Group company, started operations in record time of its first BOPP line with a production capacity of 35,000 MT/year. This new 8.7 meter wide line will produce high quality films which will mainly serve the flexible packaging industry. As part of this first stage we are also installing a high volume 4.5 meter wide metallizer with a capacity of 15,000 MT/year which will also produce high barrier films
The second stage of this project which is already underway includes the installation of a second BOPP line with the same configuration and production capacity and will start operations at the end of this year. This megaproject is one of a kind in Central America and will allow us to serve the growing demand of films in Central America and the Caribbean, and will shorten our lead times to supply our customers in North America.
Oben Holding Group’s main offices are located in Lima, Peru. We have manufacturing facilities in 6 countries within the Americas with an overall capacity of 365,000 MT/year where we produce BOPP, CPP, BOPET and BOPA films, as well as extrusion coated and thermoformed products.
