El Salvador´s vice president visits OPP film May 22, 2014

On May 21st 2014, OPP Film El Salvador had the honor to receive the visit of the country´s Vice President, Mr. Oscar Ortiz and other special guests such as: The Peruvian Ambassador, Mr. Eric Anderson; the Vice Minister of Development and Cooperation, Mr. Jairo Morales and OPP Film El Salvador´s Project Manager, Mr. Armando Ruiz. They took a tour of the Plant, to see how the construction work had progressed.

During his visit, Vice President Ortiz was able to witness the excellent work of everyone at OPP Film; work that kept the construction going as scheduled. By then, the first stage of machinery assembling had begun.

“The construction of this factory is a huge step in our relationship with Peru, home of the Holding´s Head Office, since it is their biggest investment here, and it is the first plant of its kind in El Salvador”, said the Vice President.

The new OPP Film plant will have two polypropylene lines, with a capacity of 70,000 MT each. The flexible packaging industry in El Salvador is expected to grow once these plant starts to work.
